Marion Joseph F. Odum, 88, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2007 at 5:43 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Joseph was born November 15, 1918 in Marion, the son of Joseph R. & Mattie (Bearden) Odum. He married Anna Belle Boyd on January 15, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri on January 15, 1938 and together they shared over 59 years of marriage until her death on September 24, 1997.
Joseph had proudly answered the call to serve his nation during WWII. While in the Army he was stationed in the South Pacific and the Philippines Island. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Joseph retired from the VA Medical Center. He began his career as a kitchen assistant and at the time of his retirement was the Foreman over janitors.

Daughter-in-law Susan Odum of Paducah, KY
Nine grandchildren;
Six great grandchildren
Sister Jolene Dingrando of Marion
Sister-in-law Robbie Odum of Marion
Several nieces and nephews

Preceded by Parents, Wife Anna Belle, Son Troy Donald Odum, Two Grandchildren, Douglas Earl Webb and Tonya Sue Webb, Sister, Irma Parks and Brother Troy Harman Odum.
Funeral services Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Brett Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
