Josie Ava King

Herrin- Josie Ava King, infant daughter of David E. and Heather J. King, passed away at 7:47 PM, Monday, May 30, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Josie was born on April 27, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale to David E. and Heather Jo (Rossin) King. She enjoyed being close to her mommy and daddy and being outside on the deck on warm sunshiny days. She loved listening to lullabies and sleeping in her swing. She brought much joy to those around her and will be deeply missed. Josie liked going to Lone Oak Baptist Church with her mom and dad and had perfect attendance. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 3, 2011 at Lone Oak Baptist Church in Herrin. Pastor Jerry Schell will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Lone Oak Baptist Church. Funeral services were arranged at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Heart Association or to the family and will be accepted at the church or Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 S. 13th St/ Herrin, IL 62948.
