Joyce L. Willmore

Johnston City- Joyce L. Willmore, 70, of Johnston City, passed away at 10:30 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Joyce was born on January 30, 1943 in Carroll Township to Robert and Dorothy (Boltz) Brunson.  After graduating high school, Dorothy began her career in the housekeeping department at Herrin Hospital until her retirement.  She was raised catholic and enjoyed watching her soaps on TV and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include- Son- Howie Hodson of Herrin Son- Bob Hodson of Olive Branch, MS Daughter- Kendra Willmore of Marion Four grandchildren- Kyle Hodson of Harrisburg Nicole Hodson of Herrin Starla Hodson of Colombia City, IN Gavin Willmore of Marion Brother- Jim Brunson of Lancaster, CA Brother- Richard Brunson of Sherlund, IL Sister- Kathy Brunson of Freeport Sister- Mary Borza of Versailles, KY She was preceded in death by her parents, son- Eric Hodson, daughter in law- Shellie Hodson, and brothers- David and Charles Brunson. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.  Rev. Don Colson will officiate.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service, Saturday at the funeral home.
