Juanita Albright

Herrin- Juanita Albright, 83, of Herrin, formerly of Energy, passed away at 1:35 PM, Monday, June 4, 2012 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Juanita was born on June 19, 1928 in Chicago Heights, IL to Wilbur and Hattie F. (Watson) Vance. She married Earl Albright, Sr. in the late 1960s in Herrin and he preceded her in death in 1984. Juanita was a homemaker in her own home and a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed flower gardening (especially Roses, Petunias and Morning Glories), cooking and baking cookies, pies and cakes. She also liked keeping a clean house and working jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include- Son- George Thomas Payne of Ina Son- Donald Payne of Marion Son- Tony Payne and wife Brenda of DuQuoin Son- Michael Payne and wife Rosemary of West Salem, IL Son- Larry Payne of Owensboro, KY Son- Rex Payne of Owensboro, KY Daughter- Dorothy Payne of Coconut Grove, FL Daughter- Sheila Payne of Phoenix, AZ Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren Sister- Edith M. Johnson and husband Jack of Hartford, KY She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter- Brenda Jo Prather. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 8, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. A time of gathering will begin at 12:00 PM and extend until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
