Juanita Gusentine

Juanita Gusentine, age 95, formerly of Herrin died on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Aperion HealthCare, Bradley, Illinois.

Juanita Gusentine was born in Stonefort, Illinois on July 19, 1924, the daughter of Leo and Flossie (Gunter) Lauderdale.  She married Pedro H. Gusentine on October 17, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on September 25, 2000.

Juanita attended and was a member of Bryan St. Baptist Church in Herrin, Illinois.

Juanita worked as an assembly worker for Sunbeam Electric Company in Chicago, Illinois for 35 years before her retirement.

Survivors include:

Granddaughter- Anita (John) Hayes of Manteno, Illinois

Grandson- James (Dawn) Barnes of Sheridan, Illinois

Great grandson- Matthew (Kelly) Barnes of Brook, Indiana

Two great great grandchildren- Kaylee Barnes and Hunter Barnes

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter and son-in-law; Joann (Everett) Barnes

The graveside service will be held at Herrin City Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on  Friday, November 8, 2019.  Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
