Juanita J. Dameron

Marion- Juanita J. Dameron, age 94, of Marion, passed away at 9:20am on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Parkway Estates in Marion.

Juanita was born in Marion on March 6, 1926, the daughter of Ernest and Frances Katherine (Dunning) Hill. She married Leeburn Dameron. He preceded her in death in 1988. 

Mrs. Dameron had attended the Marion Third Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a lab technician at Marion Memorial Hospital for many years.

Survivors include her son- Ronald Lee and Donna Dameron of Marion

Granddaughter- Debra Dameron of Alton

Great Granddaughter- Kaylee Dameron of Alton

Great Grandson- Korbyn Pierson of Alton

Great Great Granddaughter- Audrey Hurley of Alton

Nephew- Dwight Hill of Goreville

Niece- Shara Kay Baird of Maryville

Best Friend and Caregiver- Mary Hudgens of Marion

Lifelong Friend of 80 years- Betty Ridley of Marion

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother- Jess Hill.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to all the staff at Parkway Estates for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Juanita.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery.

For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the Parkway Estates Activity Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
