Juanita Louise Richey

Juanita Louise Richey, 87, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 11:30 pm at Parkway Manor.  Juanita was born December 4, 1927 in Plumville the daughter of Freeman and Ethel Ollie (Fiveash) Beasley.  She married Albert Leon “Skeet” Richey on March 1, 1952 in Marion and together they shared over 45 years of marriage until his death on July 29, 1997.  She attended church and Sunday School at Second Baptist Church in Marion.  In her 20’s she worked at Radionics.  Later, after her son Keith began school Juanita worked for many years as a cook for Marion Unit #2 at the Lincoln Grade School, following her retirement from the school she then worked at Allen Industries.  Survivors include her;Son – Brian Keith Richey and wife Debbie of Marion Grandchild – Brandon Richey of Marion Grandchild – Brittany Richey of Marion Sister-in-law - Marlene Richey of Pittsburg  Preceded by her Parents, Husband, five brothers, Hollie, Vernell, James, Bob and Halsey Beasley and two sisters, Mabel Thompson and Mary Clark.  Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Jerry Ford officiating.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.  Visitation will be Saturday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.  For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Heart Association.  Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois  62959.
