Juanita Ruth Collins

Herrin- Juanita Ruth Nana Collins, 88, of Indiantown, FL, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 5:15pm, Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Hays Madeira Hospice in Stuart, FL. Juanita was born on December 11, 1917 in Herrin to Charles Edward & Mamie (Hazel) Teague. She married Arthur E. Collins on August 1, 1933 in Vienna, IL. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1988. Mrs. Collins was a seamstress at Smoler Bros and Allen Industries in Herrin. She attended West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin and enjoyed spending time with her family. SURVIVORS: Daughter & son in law- Karlee & Charles Shostrom- Indiantown, FL Grandson- Steven Delai & wife Ellen- Wellington, FL Grandson- Michael Delai & wife Donna- West Palm Beach, FL Granddaughter- Karen Caraker & husband David- Herrin Granddaughter- Elaine Johnson & husband David- Goreville, IL Grandson- Eric Shostrom & wife Vicki- Jacksonville, FL Ten Great Grandchildren One Great Great Grandchild Sister in law- Genevieve McGee- Johnston City, IL Sister in law- Cassie Collins Newton- Mt. Pleasant, Mich. Numerous Nieces & Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Charles Teague & Melvin Buster McGee, and sister in law; Edna Teague. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 18, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Terry Griffith will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until time of service Friday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
