Judy Rose Miller

Carterville- Judy Rose Miller, age 69, of Carterville, passed away at 6:55am on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Herrin Hospital. Judy was born in Centralia on March 2, 1947, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Tate) Zinn. She married Jerry L. Miller in DeSoto on January 27, 1963. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1999. Judy attended the Covenant Christian Fellowship in Carterville. She owned Judy’s Ceramics in Johnston City for several years and was proud to be a military wife. She enjoyed ceramics and craftwork, and loved quilting blankets. She quilted five hundred or more blankets a year. She currently owned and operated Quilts and More from her home in Carterville. In 2004 she donated 450 quilts to Christian Social Services and received the Channel 3 Unsung Hero Award. Survivors include- Son- Allen L. and Dana Miller of Pittsboro, IN Son- Paul L. and Pamala Miller of Carterville Five Grandchildren- Arren L. and Jessica Miller of Whitestown, IN Nikki Keller and husband Brian of Westpoint, IN Kelli L. Sheraden and husband Jason of Carterville Kyle W. Miller of Herrin Casey D. Raymer and wife Celia of Carbondale 9 great grandchildren Brother= Charles and Kathy Zinn of Herrin Brother- Donald and Shelia Zinn of Macomb, MO Sister- Ellen Zinn of Hurst Several Nieces and Nephews Her close friends she enjoyed shooting pool with in Hurst She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband- Jerry. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
