Marion – Julian H. White, 97, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 12:41 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Mr. White was born August 24, 1915 in Creal Springs the son of Edgar and Lizzie (Borum) White. On March 30, 1935 he married Geneva Parks and together they were blessed with 72 years of marriage, until her death on March 19, 2007.
He was a WWII Navy veteran and his working career was as an electrician for the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. He was a member of The Second Baptist Church of Marion.
Mr. White is survived by his Daughter – Beverly Flood and husband Kenneth of Pendleton, Kentucky, Four Grandchildren; Amy Webster of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Bryan Flood and wife Devon of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Kevin Flood and wife Jessica of San Jose, California, Susan Bradley and husband Steven of Bedford, Kentucky. Seven Great Grandchildren; Julienne and John Keagen Webster of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Fiona and Liam Flood of San Jose, California, Averie Flood of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Dusty and Walker Bradley of Bedford, Kentucky.
Preceded by his Parents, Wife – Geneva White and Five Brothers and One Sister.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 10 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Wagner & Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Military rites will be presented by members of the Marion VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Flag Detail Unit. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
