Herrin- KAREN SUE "SUSIE" UNDERWOOD-WIEGAND, age 53, of Herrin, passed away at 7:47am on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Susie was born on July 18, 1958 in Herrin to Dorothy Underwood. She enjoyed craftwork such as painting, drawing and crocheting in her spare time. Survivors include- Daughter- Lora King of Bloomington Daughter- Susan Jason and husband Chris of Varna Grandchildren- Lucas and Zachary King and Gavin Jason Sister- Darla Tippy of Herrin Nephew- Chay Marshall of Energy Many Cousins and numerous friends Uncles and Aunts- Bobby and Pam Underwood of Energy Richard and Janice Underwood of Herrin Don and Genny Underwood of Carterville Marsha & Coleman Taylor of Dearborn Heights, MI Earl Farmer of Conway, SC She was preceded in death by her mother, aunt- June Farmer, Uncle- Larry Underwood and four cousins. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. A time of gathering will be held from 11-1pm on Saturday at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the family.
