Crab Orchard- Kathleen (Shaw) Fuller, 92, of Newburgh, IN, formerly of Crab Orchard, went home to be with the Lord at 9:00 AM, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at her son’s home in Newburgh. Kathleen was born on January 30, 1921 in Crab Orchard to Howard and Ollie (Tanner) Shaw.  She married Rudolph Fuller on February 10, 2011 in Jackson, MO.  He preceded her in death on July 15, 1997.  Kathleen was a native of Crab Orchard and spent her later years in Indiana with her husband. Kathleen graduated from high school in Crab Orchard before attending Brown’s Business College and Southern Illinois University.  She worked at Kankakee State Hospital before marrying Rudolph in 1943.  During WWII, while Rudolph was in the Navy, she worked as a comptometer operator for Seaboard Railway in Portsmouth, VA.  Kathleen also worked as a biller in Chicago at Montgomery Ward. Kathleen was a devoted daughter, wife, homemaker, parent and friend.  She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and had a soft spot for the well-being of animals.  She spent her free time studying the Bible, playing the piano, drawing, painting, and supporting various religious charities. Survivors include-Son and daughter in law- Gene and Irene Fuller of Newburgh, IN; Granddaughter- Karen Franklin and husband John of Nashville, TN; Granddaughter- Kathy Fuller and fiancé Brian Ankenbrand of Newburgh, IN; Three great grandchildren-   Anna and Nick Franklin;  Alexis Schoenbaechler. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.  Rev. Tim Ozment will officiate.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Thursday at the funeral home.
