Kathleen J. Crespi

Herrin- KATHLEEN JOSEPHINE CRESPI, age 88, of Herrin, passed away at 3:25am on September 22, 2009 at her home in Herrin. Kathleen was born at home in Herrin on July 15, 1921, the daughter of John and Rose (Bianci) Crespi. Ms. Crespi was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She worked for 37 years in management with the Smoler Brothers Factory in Herrin. Survivors include her sister-in-law- Naomi Crespi of Herrin, IL; one nephew- Michael and Susan Crespi of Colp; three nieces- Norma and Harold Harness of Peoria, Ardith and Tony Grippa of Aliquippa, PA, and Darla Hancock of Chicago. She also leaves behind 5 great nieces, 3 great nephews, 4 great great nieces and 3 great great nephews all of whom she loved as if they were her own children. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother- Mario. The family would like to thank Dr. Pramote for his wonderful care. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-9 on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
