Kathryn T. Barnaby

Marion Kathryn T. Barnaby, 90, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 3:25 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Kathryn was born December 29, 1917 the daughter of Audie & Madge (Chitty) Summers. She married Alfred Barnaby on December 15, 1934 in Marion and together they shared over 57 years of marriage until his death on March 19, 1992. Kathryn was a lifetime member of First Church of God and for over 25 years was a federal inspector for Olin Defense Supply Agency. She is survived by: Two daughters; Natalie Spicer of Marion Diana Boles of Marion Four sons; Don Barnaby and wife Julie of Marion Marion Barnaby and wife Vicki of Marion Alfred Barnaby Jr. and wife Patty of Marion Jim Barnaby and wife Sherry of Marion Twelve grandchildren; Gina Nelson and husband Jimmy of Florida Sheryl Green and husband Doug of Florida Alan Barnett and wife Nona of Nevada Jacqueline Boles of Florida Wendi Tennyson and husband Doug of Marion Angelina Thompson of Marion Andrea Kurczewski and husband Rob of Deerborn, MI Aaron Barnaby of Marion Stacey Barnaby of Marion Jeramy Barnaby of Chandler, AZ Sarah Barnaby of Marion Joseph Barnaby of Marion Thirty Great grandchildren Three Great great grandchildren Sister Jean Summers of Marion Sister-in-law LaVelle Summers of Marion Nieces & nephews Preceded by Parents, Husband, two brothers, Kenny & LaVerne Barnaby, two grandchildren, Bryan Boles & Melissa Barnaby Funeral services will be Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at First Church of God in Marion with Rev. Paul Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at First Church of God. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Jan Bowman-Marsh and the Hospice of Southern Illinois staff for the excellent care and attention that their mother received.
