Katie Fiorina

Herrin- Katie Fiorina, 91, of Herrin, died at 10:30AM, Sunday, October 5, 2003 at Herrin Hospital. Katie was born on January 16, 1912 in Herrin to Angelo & Carolina (Carrabella) Carnaghi. She married Dom Fiorina on October 30, 1935 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1965. Mrs. Fiorina was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was also a member of the Herrin Eagles Auxiliary. SURVIVORS: Daughter- Marilee Wilkinson- Pevely, MO Son & dtr in law- Jerry & Tannie Fiorina- Herrin Eight Grandchildren Nine Great Grandchildren Two Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters; Louise Tapella & Josephine Ellena. The funeral mass will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM, also on Tuesday. Memorial donations are suggested to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church/ Renovation fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
