Marion- Kenneth E. Frassato, 81, of Marion, formerly of Swanwick, passed away at 6:30 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Herrin Hospital.
Kenneth was born on September 25, 1931 in Pinckneyville to Felix and Ethel (Campbell) Frassato. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Navy. Once honorably discharged, he began a career as switchman and yardmaster for the Illinois Central Railroad.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and served as treasurer of the Wednesday night dinner. He was active with the Swanwick Cemetery Association and the Marion Senior Citizen. He enjoyed playing pinochle and dominos with his friends at the center, travelling and was a generous and caring person.

Sister- Betty Manuel and husband Darwin of Palm Springs, CA
Brother- Richard Frassato and wife Marilyn of Henderson, NV
Eleven nieces and nephews
Twenty Four great nieces and nephews
Fourteen great great nieces and nephews
Aunt- Agnes Grafton of Coulterville

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother- Felix Frassato and one infant brother.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 21, 2013 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Pastor Tim Ozment will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service, Monday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
