Marion- KENTON LEE NEAL, age 49, passed away at 6:20pm on Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital in Centralia.
Kenton was born in Carbondale on June 14, 1962, the son of Fred and Sondra (Weismann) Neal. He was a proud graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School. Kenton was a resident of the Warren G. Murray Developmental Center in Centralia, where he also attended the Kaskaskia Workshop. He loved going to the St Louis Zoo. Kenton received several medals from the Special Olympics while participating in softball and wheel chair races.

Father and Step-Mother- Fred and Luan Neal of Carterville
Sister- Tracey (Bill) Glenn of Herrin
Two nieces- Taylor and Michaela Reel of Herrin
Step-brother- Carl E. and Catherine Wilkins of Lake of Egypt
Step-sister- Carla and Jim Nilson of Herrin
Special Cousins- Sidney Christianson of Geneva, IL
Sue Ward of Gig Harbor, Washington
Kenton was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents- Otto and Virginia Wiemann, his paternal grandparents- Taylor and Wanda Neal and Mildred Neal, his step-father- Carl Wilkins, and his step-sister- Donna Spees.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion from 9:30am until time of the procession to the cemetery.
