Marion Lack Bradley L.B. Hunter, 76, passed away on Sunday June 18, 2006 after enjoying a Fathers Day dinner with his beautiful wife Marie and his lovely daughter Vickie and his three lovely granddaughters Hillary, Holly and Heather. L.B. quietly and gently went to meet his Savior at 5:10 P.M. L.B. was born June 21, 1929 in Marion, Illinois to George & Lelle (Bradley) Hunter. He was married to Lena Marie Stephens on September 2, 1970 and they have celebrated over 35 years of marriage. L.B. served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He retired as Chief of Police after 27 years of service with the Marion Police Department. He was member of 3rd Baptist Church, Marion Masonic Lodge #89 A.F. A.M. Belleville Consistory and Ainad Shriners of East St. Louis. L.B. is survived by: Wife Lena Marie Hunter of Marion Daughter Vickie Elizabeth Hunter of Marion Granddaughters: Hillary Enloe and husband Aaron of Montgomery City, MO Heather Hudgens of Marion Holly Hudgens of Marion Three Step-Children: Lena Deutsch and husband Willie of Alton, IL Randall Taylor and wife Karen of Havana, IL Charles Taylor and wife Lisa of Tucson, AZ Nine Step-Grandchildren: Charles Deutsch Jennifer Deutsch Linda McAnally Kristina Deutsch Aaron Taylor Trevor Taylor Athena Brooks Amy Schull Megan Watts Ten Great Grandchildren: Bladen, Logan, Alexxis, Emmie, Eathan, Tanner, Taylor, Rylee and Calista, Tori Preceded by Parents Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev.s David Hancock, Ron Orr and Scott Kallem officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by Marions VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be performed at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday by Marion Masonic Lodge #89 A.F.A.M. For those who prefer memorials may be made to 3rd Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
