Herrin- La Donna Mae Donna Clark, 63, of Herrin, passed away at 11:55 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family.
La Donna was born on March 24, 1946 in Bush to Paul J. & Hazel (Newton) Robinson. She married David Clark on June 1, 1968 in Herrin. HE survives of Herrin.
La Donna worked many years as an aide and cook at Margarets Boarding House in Herrin and Mattinglys Nursing Home in Energy and she also babysat for numerous people in the area. She attended Crossroads Tabernacle Church in Bush. She enjoyed cooking chicken and dumplings, working crosswords, drawing, singing in her church, and reading Danielle Steele novels. You always knew where you stood with La Donna and she enjoyed having a good time, whether playing scratch offs, collecting pens or one of her many recipes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson- Jonathon Mezo, son in law- Mike Cohoon, Brother in law- Richard Clark, sister in law- Carolyn Odom & husband Tom and her father in law and mother in law- Frank & Julie Clark.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Pastor Ray Robinson & Pastor Terry Griffith will officiate. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 p.m, Monday, January 18, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
