LaDonna Stallons

Herrin- LaDonna Jean Stallons, age 78, of Herrin, passed away at 5:20am on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.   LaDonna was born in Herrin on January 6, 1941.  She married John Stallons, Jr. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2007.  LaDonna was a homemaker, adored by many. She will be truly missed by all those that knew and loved her.   Survivors include: Daughter- LaDonna Gabbard of Herrin Son- Michael Stallons of Herrin Daughter- Lora Fulgham of Herrin Daughter- Sandra Stallons of Marion Three Grandchildren- Danielle Meneese of Marion Haley Fulgham of Herrin Jenna Johns of Marion Three Great Grandchildren- Gracie Meneese of Marion twins Corbin and Cameron Hittmeier of Marion Close family friend- Carolyn Eastman of Herrin Beloved Dog- Cocoa   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister- Gertrude “Trudy” Eldridge, brother- Wallace “Wally” McVey, and brother- John McVey.   Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.   For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
