Larry Dean Farner

Larry Dean Farner, 73, of Marion, passed away at 3:25 AM, Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Herrin Hospital. Mr. Farner was born on August 29, 1935 in Marion to Charlie & Lilly (Huffstutler) Farner. He married Faye M. Morris on April 2, 1952 in Marion. She survives of Marion. He was retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation and owned AAA Wrecker Service in Marion. He was of protestant faith and a former member of the Marion Masonic Lodge. Survivors include- Wife- Faye M. Farner of Marion Son & daughter in law- Steve & Susan Farner of Marion Daughter & son in law- Donna & Dale Bloodworth of Marion Daughter- Jane Nolen & friend Terry Williams of Marion Eight Grandchildren: Jason Andolsek & wife Michelle of Marion John Ryan Wayne of Marion Josh Farner of Carbondale Colten Nolen of Marion Cody Bloodworth of Marion Bridget Bloodworth & friend Brian Mann of OFallon, MO Shay Farner & friend Brent Swan of Marion Shara Farner & friend Dave Gibb of Herrin Four Great Grandchildren: Zachary Grant of Marion Hunter Gibb of Herrin Kelsie Andolsek of Marion Avery Shayne Mann of OFallon, MO Sister- Emma Burklow of Niles, MI Several nieces and nephews Good friend- Robert Carrier of Rock Island, IL Brother in law- Jerry Morris of Marion He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant sister, sister- Lillian Eveland and one brother- Harold Farner. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
