Larry J. Taylor

Larry J. Taylor, 69, of Marion passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:31 am.

Larry was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 23, 1951 the son of James Floyd and Ella (Tucker) Taylor.

He was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving in Okinawa, Japan.  Larry worked at Norge in Herrin.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Chessity Lindsey-Bryant and two granddaughters, Kayla McRoy and Michelle Lindsey and seven great grandchildren.  Four sisters, Doris Deciechi of O’Fallon, Missouri, Ruby Nichols of Paulton, Joyce Benge of Perryville and Dorothy Booton of Marion.

Nieces and nephews from the area include: Tracy Fitzgerald of Paulton, Vicki Hill, Dave Herring, Serena Herring and Barb Meadows all of Marion, Scott Essary of Johnston City.  Special friends Cheyenne Jones and Jagger Rousey.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, sister Kathleen Taylor and infant brother James.

In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
