Laura Ann Rushing

Marion Laura Ann Rushing, 56, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at her residence. Laura Ann was born June 5, 1956 in Marion the daughter of Ben and Lois Jane (Wilson) Bruce. She married Alan Rushing on August 4, 1979 in Marion. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marion and the Zion United Church of Christ. Survivors include her; Husband Alan Rushing of Marion Daughter Ellie Rushing of Jackson, Missouri Mother Lois Jane Bruce of Marion Twin Sister Jane Bruce-Hargis of Marion Brother Ben W. and Jerianne Bruce of Marion Nieces; Lizabeth Hargis, Madeline Anne Wilson Bruce and Margaux Julia Bruce of Marion Nephews; John Wilson Bruce and Seve Benjamin Bruce of Marion Preceded by her Father Ben Bruce, Father-in-law & Mother-in-law - Richard and Mildred Rushing. Funeral services will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. John Holst officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Zion United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or the Cus Wilson Scholarship Fund.
