Marion- Marion LaVerne “Angel” Tinault, eternally youthful, passed away at 1:29 PM, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
LaVerne was born on an undisclosed date, known only by a few trusted family members, in Chicago to Regis and Marion (Veach) Finn. She married her life’s love, John Henry Tinault, on January 20, 1951 at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Chicago. He lives in Marion.
She was retired from working as the bookkeeper for her family’s business, “General Metal Spinning”, which is still ran by Laverne’s son – William.
She was catholic and a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She was loved by many and known for giving “hugs” (Hershey Chocolates) to EVERYONE she met. She volunteered her time many years as “Mrs. Claus” in old Chicago. She loved her children dearly and truly considered them her “Angels”; a nickname which stuck with her later in life. She signed her letters-; “Jack, LaVerne and the 9 Angels”. She will be dearly missed by her friends and her beloved husband.

Son- Joseph Tinault and wife Sonya of Scottsdale, AZ
Twin sons- John Tinault and wife Gayle of Bensenville, IL & Michael Tinault and wife Lisa of Wauwatosa, WI
Son- Daniel Tinault and wife Patricia of Addison, IL
Son- William Tinault and wife Michele of Creal Springs
Daughter- Marion Tinault-Johnson of Carol Stream, IL

38 great grandchildren
Sister- Sister Loretta Finn of Kankakee
Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters- Katherine Driscoll and Rosemary Kleofer and one sister- Betty.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. Fr. Richard Mohr and Fr. Brian Barker will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 30, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. The committal service will be officiated by a priest from the Chicago diocese.
