Marion- LAWRENCE BLOODWORTH, age 96, of Marion, passed away at 12:18pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at his residence in Marion.
Lawrence was born in Marion on October 25, 1913, the son of James and Jerucha (Morgan) Bloodworth. He married Bertha Cash in Piggott, Arkansas on November 26, 1938. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2008.
Mr. Bloodworth was the retired owner of the Bloodworth Garage in Goreville. He was a proud veteran of World War II. For all those who knew Lawrence, he truly loved people and was a gentleman in all respects.

Two Granddaughters- Sheri Richey of Alpharetta, GA
Jennifer Etheridge of Talahassee, FL
Great Grandson- Tyler Richey of Talahassee, FL
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Lawrence was the last survivor of 14 children. Five sisters preceded him in death- Carrie Frey, Ada Brady, Elsie Riggs, Golda Bloodworth, and twin Florence Sandlin; brothers- Arthur, Louis, Phillip, Roscoe, Harvey, Smith Bloodworth and two infant siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Lawrences nephew, Mr. Lee Rodgers, will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of services on Saturday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
