Lela M. "Granny" Terry

Marion- Lela M. “Granny” Terry, age 98, of Marion, passed away at 3:30am on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Lela was born in Williamson County on December 31, 1920, the daughter of Raymond and Hulda (Harris) Talley.  She married Guy E. Terry in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on December 10, 1939. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1992. Mrs. Terry was a member of the Center Baptist Church in Crab Orchard.  She was a homemaker. Survivors include: Daughter- Brenda Hendrickson of Marion Daughter- Guyla Terry of DuQuoin Four Grandchildren- Terry and Connie Hendrickson Jeff Hendrickson and Susan Whiting Veronica Hendrickson and Tony Alsip Aaron Guy Terry and Abigail Vancil Six Great Grandchildren- Josh Hendrickson Jordan and Tayler Hendrickson Tonya and Tim Mathews Christina and Mike Jodon Amanda and Travis Vickery Kristina Hendrickson Eleven Great Great Grandchildren- Ellie Mathews Brantleigh Mathews Brooklyn Hendrickson Bristol Hendrickson Remi Hendrickson Gunner Jodon Maverick Jodon Eli Vickery Lauren Baine Tate Vickery Addy Vickery She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law- Gary Hendrickson, sister- Letha M. McMurray, and sister-in-law- Ruth Richey. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Chris Cutsinger and Pastor Greg Pavloff officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm on Tuesday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
