Herrin- Leva Jeweldine Julie Clark, 86, of Herrin, passed away peacefully at
12:50 AM, Friday, December 1, 2006 at Angel Acres of Marion.
Julie was born on September 19, 1920 in Herrin to Edward D. & Lucille (Long)
Griffin. She married Rev. Frank B. Clark on September 19, 1936 in Cambria. He
preceded her in death on April 11, 1996.
Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and an active member of West Monroe Apostolic Church
in Herrin. She loved the Lord and shared her beliefs with all who would
listen. She had a quick wit and a devious smile. Im still kicking, but not
too high, was her response, each time she was asked about her wellbeing. She
will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to
sincerely thank Angel Acres of Marion for the compassionate care given to their
mother, grandmother, sister & friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Richard Clark, daughter-
Carolyn Odom and one great grandson.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at West
Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin. Bro. Elvin Ervin & Bro. Terry Griffith will
officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 6-9:00 PM, Monday, December 4, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in
Herrin.
