Lillian Beatrice?Toots? Handkins Ozment, 95, died at Parkway Manor Nursing Center in Marion at 4:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2002.
Services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes funeral home Saturday at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Frank Pierce officiating. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and envelopes are available at the funeral home.
She was born September 10, 1906 in Williamson County to O.R. and Myrtie (Mofield) Handkins. She married Herbert Rue Ozment in Shawnee Town on November 2, 1925. He passed away January 1, 1962. She was a homemaker and worked at several local restaurants. She was a long time member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She was a 50-year member of Eastern Star and the Order of the White Shrine in Marion.
Survivors include one Daughter and husband: Juanita and Loy Ray Smith of Marion - One granddaughter Charlotte and husband Larry Worthen of Livonia, MI ? Two Great grandchildren Scott and Cheri Worthen of Livonia, MI ? One brother William Handkins of Pittsburg ? Niece Velma R. Handkins of Pittsburg ? Nephew Gerald D. Handkins of Pittsburg - and one niece and husband Audrey and Alan Biby of Mulkeytown.
Preceding her in death are Parents, Husband, and Two brothers Virgil and Glen ?Hoss? Handkins.
