Bush- Lillian James, 92, of Bush died at 1:24 PM, Thursday, September 6, 2001 at Herrin Hospital.
Lillian was born on June 15, 1909 in Mt. Carbon, IL to Pete & Nellie (Brown) Summers. She married Raymond James on October 2, 1926 in Murphysboro, IL. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1983.
Mrs. James was a homemaker and very loving and caring mother. She enjoyed cooking, artwork, and writing poetry. She was a woman of faith and a member of Crossroads Tabernacle Church in Bush.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson; Todd Shafer, four brothers, and her beloved sister; Lettie Webb.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 9, 2001 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. The Revs. Naomi Carter & Bill Webb will officiate. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville. Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 PM, Saturday, September 8, 2001 at the funeral home.
