Lindell G. Osman

Lindell G. Osman, 74, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 12:29 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Lindell was born June 2, 1938 in Hardin County the son of Loren and Verbal (Brown) Osman. He married Margaret Ellen Smothers on December 26, 1957 in Rudement, Illinois and they have been blessed with 55 years of marriage. He was a veteran, proudly answering the call to serve his country during the Vietnam War. Lindell attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. He had two careers, retiring after 30 years from Uniroyal Chemical in Joliet and 9 years from the Veterans Home in Manteno. Lindell is survived by his; Wife Margaret Osman of Marion Daughter Robin E. Tarlton and husband Michael of Marion Five Grandchildren; Andrew Osman Laurn Osman Noah Tarlton Justin Tarlton Brandon Tarlton Three Sisters; Wilma Williams of Harrisburg Hazel Miller of Bourbonnais Sharon LaPara and husband Tom of South Bend, Indiana Preceded by Parents, Daughter Melissa Osman, Three Brothers Randall, Dean and Jack Osman. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Montgomery officiating. Military rites will be presented by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and members of the National Guard Detail Unit. Burial will follow in Fountain Cemetery.Visitation will be Saturday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
