Lois D. Mitchell

Energy- Lois D. (Miley) Mitchell, age 93, of Energy, passed away at 10:46am on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Parkway of Liberty Village in Marion.

Lois was born in Zeigler on February 24, 1928, the daughter of Ernest and Ruby (Waugh) Miley. She married David A. Mitchell in Herrin on December 23, 1950. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1999.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all; Lois will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son- David and Norma Mitchell of Herrin

Daughter- Janice and Keith Robinson of Herrin

Four Grandchildren- Jeff and Amy Robinson of Peoria

     Mackenzie and Gabe Atkins of Herrin

     Emily Mitchell of Herrin

     Shawn and Lyndsey Mientus of Herrin

Eleven Great Grandchildren

Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins

Host of many special friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Rebecca Mientus, sister- Betty Schafer, and her aunt and uncle.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
