Marion- Lola May (Adkisson) Fowler, 98, of Marion, passed away at 9:00 AM, Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Angel Acres in Marion, where she lived since 2006.
Lola was born on May 3, 1912 in Hamilton County to John & Alma (Davis) Adkisson. She was a member of Liberty Church of Christ at twelve years old.
She married Clay Everett Fowler on May 14, 1935 in Marion. They were married for 54 years prior to his death on April 19, 1989. They lived all of their lives in the same house northeast of Marion.
She enjoyed playing the piano and was an avid quilter. She loved going on bus trips with her friends; and she was known to be a good cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandsons- Bill & Charles Warren, brothers- John (Cap) and Jim Adkisson, sisters- Wava, Lois, Gola, & Verbal Adkisson and Mabel Merriman and one son in law- Rev. Wayne Warren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Brother Arthur Joplin will officiate. Burial will follow at Lake Creek Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
