Loren Moore, 88, passed away on Thursday, September 02, 2010 at 7:30 A.M. at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Loren was born November 2, 1921 in Creal Springs the son of Volney & Betty (McRoy) Moore. He married Virginia L. Dorothy White on September 6, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and together they were blessed with over 68 years of marriage until her death on March 23, 2010.
He was a veteran of the Marines, proudly answering the call to serve his country during WWII. For over 70 years he was a member of the Third Baptist Church in Marion, where he has served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. For over 25 years Loren has taught Sunday School at Friendship Care Nursing Home. He retired from the Engineering Department at the Marion VA Medical Center and raised cattle on his farm.

Preceded by his Parents, Wife Virginia, Two infant sons - Loren & LaVerne Moore, Sister Madge Fisher and Two Brothers Clifton Moore and Burrell Moore.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pulley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with military rites presented by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Flag Detail Unit. The visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 8 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
