Lorene M. Elliott, 84, passed away at 4:20 P.M. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her Marion home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Lorene Mamie Morgan in Energy to Cline and Zelma (Graves) Morgan on January 24, 1927. She has two sisters, Morene Albright and Doris Jean Jackson.
Lorene and Gene Webb married in November 1946 and they had two daughters, Lareva Jean Bradley and Kimberly Lynn Webb. Lorene is survived by Lareva and her husband Doug Bradley and their children Andrew Bradley of Marion and Natalie Bradley Winn and her husband Ryan Winn of Brentwood, Tennessee. Lorene is also survived by her daughter Kim Webb and her daughter Katie Walker Schroeder and husband Lee and daughter Kasey Walker, all of Marion.
Lorene is also survived by her sisters, Morene Albright and Doris Jean Jackson and husband Jim and their children and grandchildren as well as her dear cousin Barbara Dean Wolaver. She also leaves behind other family members Barbara and Bob Bradley along with Clay and Andrea Bradley.
In November 1977, Lorene married Paul Elliott and together they shared 21 years until his death in March 1999. She is survived by Pauls daughter Sharon Elliott Goodman and her husband Ray (Boogie) Goodman and their children and grandchildren.
Lorenes first priority was spending time with her family and taking care of their needs. She was always optimistic and cheerful and was an excellent listener. Lorene was very good with her accounting work and used these skills when she and Gene owned Gene Webb Auto Sales and again when Paul and she owned and operated P&L Trucking. She loved to sew and create beautiful things and she crocheted many afghans for all to enjoy. She had a green thumb and loved flowers and plants. Lorene had several dogs and birds over time but most beloved was Buster, who was her dog she shared with Paul.
Lorene was a member of the Hickory Grove Church but in later years attended Aldersgate Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Jim Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Lorene will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her. Lorene is an angel in heaven now instead of here on earth.
