Loretta Yvonne Priddy

Marion- Loretta Yvonne Priddy, age 82, of Marion, passed away at 4:40pm on Friday, August 27, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Loretta was born in Marion on January 6, 1939, the daughter of Elijah L. and Mildred E. (Bennett) Chamness. She married Henry A. Priddy in Jackson, Missouri on November 20, 1965. Together, they shared more than fifty-five years of wonderful memories.

Prior to her retirement, Loretta had worked as a seamstress at Smolers for more than thirty years.

Survivors include her husband- Henry Priddy of Marion

Daughter- Yolanda and Eddie Dwyer of Marion

Son- Charles and Betty Hogue of Creal Springs

Son- Sean and Kendra Priddy of Damiansville

Eight Grandchildren- James Dwyer of Peoria

     Travis and Vicki Dwyer of West Frankfort

     Jonah Hogue of Marion

     Desirae and David Anderson of Marion

     Krystal and Brandon Perkins of Hawaii

     Amanda Depauw of Golconda

     Joshua and Allison Priddy of Westerville, Ohio

     Tatyana Priddy of Athens, Georgia

Seventeen Great Grandchildren

One Great Great Granddaughter

Sister- Christine Miller of Collinsville

Brother- Bennett and Peggy Chamness of Grand Island, Nebraska

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers- Jerry Lane Chamness, Terry Lee Chamness, and Robert Elijah Chamness, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law- Whitey and Dorothy Priddy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating. Burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
