Louise Marie Nethercott-Wilson

Herrin- LOUISE MARIE (OLDANI) NETHERCOTT-WILSON, age 90, of Herrin, passed away at 11:28pm on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Louise was born in Herrin on April 27, 1920, the daughter of Angelo and Caesarina (Rossi) Oldani. She married Robert F. Nethercott in 1943. Louise later married George A. Wilson in 1974. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1999. Mrs. Wilson had worked at Herrin Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. She loved her family and everything in nature, particularly the flowers and trees in her yard. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. Louise was always especially fond of and proud of her grandson, Matt. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law- Linda and Larry Cox of Mulkeytown, IL Grandson- Matthew and Jenny Cox of Raytown, MO Great Grandchildren- Zaylee Ann and Ava Marie Cox of Raytown, MO Sister- Jennie Gammill of Herrin, IL Nephews- Robert W. and Joanna of Scottsdale, AZ Robert Wick of Normal, IL She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- George, two sisters- Netta (Oldani) Wick and Lena (Oldani) Meadows, and her brother- Robert W. Oldani, Sr. It was her request to be cremated and to have no public viewing or public memorial services. The family would appreciate any inquiries regarding memorial donations be met with a request to plant a tree in memory of Louise. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with memorial arrangements.
