Lucille Coonce

Lucille Coonce, age 79, of Marion, died Wednesday, August 8th at 5:45 P.M. at Marion Memorial Hospital. Visitation for Mrs. Coonce will be from 5:00-9:00 P.M. Thursday, August 9th, at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 10th with Fred Young, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Memorials for Mrs. Coonce may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. She was born December 4, 1921 in Williamson County to John Wilson and Arva Eudora (Smith) West. She married Leo Everard in 1936 in Williamson County, and he died in 1948. She later married Gene Coonce on February 28, 1957 in Williamson County, and he died February 9, 1990. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda & George Cullum of Marion, Janice & Ruben Alcala of Merrillville, Indiana, Sherry & Larry Motsinger and Shelba & John Jackson, all of Pittsburg; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Bob & Diana Coonce of Tucson, Arizona; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Diane & David White and Marie & Dick Eairheart, all of Marion; seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Bobbie West of Henderson, Kentucky; and many nieces & nephews. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
