Herrin- Lucille Mussa 84, of Herrin, formerly of St. Louis & Chicago, died at 6:35 P.M., Saturday, December 15, 2001 at Herrin Hospital.
Lucille was born on May 23, 1917 in New Madrid County, MO to Ed McDonald & Gladys Miram (Bishop) Hazel. She married John Mussa on August 12, 1939 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death in October of 1952.
Mrs. Mussa retired as a supervisor for Mosby Inc. Printers of St. Louis and Linn, MO.
She was of Baptist faith. When she was able, Lucille enjoyed art. She was especially good at pencil drawings. She also wrote poetry and was published more than once by Radio-Times-Mirror of New York, New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother; Calvin Hazel, Sisters: Carey & Reva Marie Hazel and Thelma Wildhaber, niece; Jane Jeralds, and one nephew; Joe Wildhaber.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. An hour of visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
