Crab Orchard – Lucille Ray Beasley, 92, of Crab Orchard, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 5:52 pm at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.  Lucille was born May 10, 1922 in JohnstonCity the daughter of Scott and Eunice (Ray) Smith. She married Harry Lee Ray and he preceded her in death in 1986, she then later married Rev. Ray Beasley and he preceded her in death.  Lucille was a homemaker. She was involved in the Art Class at the Senior Citizens for over 20 years, and belonged to the Home Mission. Lucille attended the Mt. Pleasant-Poordo Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her; Son – Len Allen Ray and wife Ruth of Pittsburg Daughter – Ferrell Lee Trumbley and husband Bill of Thompsonville Five grandsons One great granddaughter Two great great grandsons Brother – R.B. Smith of PeoriaHeights Sister – Opal Copeland of Peoria Several nieces and nephews  Preceded by her Parents, Husbands, 7 Brothers and sisters  Funeral services will be Monday September 8, 2014 at 2 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Lingle officiating. Burial will follow in ShilohCemetery. Visitation will be Monday from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.  For those who prefer memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant-Poordo Children’s Fund. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois62959.  The family would like to Rev. Glenn Sanders, and the staff at the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center for the wonderful care and attention their Mother received.
