Lynn D. Morse

Marion- LYNN D. MORSE, age 59, of Marion, passed away at 2:22am on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion, IL. Lynn was born on January 14, 1947 in Herrin, to Lee Roy and Stella (Miner) Morse. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the 101st Airborne Paratroopers Division and a member of the Marion VFW, the Marion American Legion, and the Marion Masonic Temple. Survivors include- Daughter- Donita Toms of West Frankfort, IL Step-Daughter- Dana Tackett of Marion, IL Mother- Stella (Miner) Morse of Hurst, IL Brother- Steve and Sharon Morse of Carterville, IL Brother- Kenneth Gordon Morse of Energy, IL Brother- Larry and Brenda Morse of Murphysboro, IL Brother- Jerry and Jackie Morse of Herrin, IL Sister- Teresa and Bert Jones of Herrin, IL Brother- Robert Morse of Hurst, IL Special Friend- Susie Tackett of Marion, IL Several nieces and nephews Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Energy with the Rev. Ron Chitwood officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Marions VFW and American Legion Posts. Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Saturday, October 21, 2006 with Masonic services being conducted by Marions Masonic Temple at 11:00am at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations may be made to any VFW of the donors choice. Envelopes will be available and donations accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
