Mable Ruth Wilson

Marion Mable Ruth Wilson, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 10:15 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Mable was born November 25, 1916 to Charles Ben and Della Mae (Murphy) Merrell in Williamson County, Illinois. She married Garrett Leonard Perk Wilson on April 28, 1945 in Marion and together they shared over 44 years of marriage until his death on June 19, 1989. Mable was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Norge. Survivors include: Son Robert Wayne Travelstead and his wife Wanda of Goreville Eleven Grandchildren Nine Great Grandchildren Six Great Great Grandchildren Preceded by Parents, Husband, Son Carl D. Travelstead, One Granddaughter Tina Marie Travelstead, Five Brothers and Three Sisters. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. John Howat officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Rev. Don Travelstead will assist at the graveside. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Bethel Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
