Herrin- Macie Louise Barringer, 87, of Herrin, passed away at 11:01 PM, Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.
Louise was born on May 4, 1919 in Herrin to Alfred Fredrick & Macie (Tucker) Jacobson. She married Floy Barringer on January 30, 1938 in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1970.
Mrs. Barringer worked as a clerk at the town bakery for fourteen years and then as a waitress for many years at various local restaurants. She was a member of the Carbondale Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters- Lillian Pendley & Pearl McDonald, two brothers- Eugene & Lawrence Jacobson and one grandson.
As per her wishes, her body will be donated to Southern Illinois University- Carbondale School of Medicine. There will be no services. Arrangements were provided by Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
