Marion Madge Lenora Fisher, 92, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 8:30 A.M. at her home in Marion. Madge was born December 2, 1914 in Creal Springs the daughter of Volney Lafayette and Betty Lou (McRoy) Moore. She married Henry Adam Fisher on August 29, 1931 in Marion, they shared over 75 years of marriage until his death on December 5, 2006. Madge retired after 25 years as a cook at Marion High School. She was a member of New Hope Church of God and several church organizations. Madge loved to garden, grow flowers and she enjoyed listening to gospel music. Survivors include: Two Sons: Bill Fisher and wife Marilee of Austin, Texas John V. Fisher and wife Connie of Marion Daughter Carol Ann Mach and husband Edward James of LaGrange Park, Illinois Eight Grandchildren; Sabria Thompson of Marion Eric & Faith Fisher of Johnston City Paul H. & Kathy Fisher of Marion Leah & James Nyfler of Austin, Texas Karl & Chereen Fisher of Austin, Texas Peter Fisher of Austin, Texas Karen & Jim Tyler of Palo Alto, California Kathy & Dave Scherer of Palo Alto, California Fifteen Great Grandchildren Brother Loren Moore and wife Virginia of Marion Sister Alice Abney of Marion Preceded by Parents, her Husband, Henry and Brothers, Clifton Moore and Burrell Moore. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Cindy Absher officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be given to the New Hope Church of God Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes, 800 North Market Street, Marion, IL 62959.
