Herrin- Marcella June Long, age 94, of Herrin, passed away at 4:30am on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Integrity Nursing Home of Marion.
Marcella was born in Johnston City on June 10, 1926, the daughter of Clifford Ray and Zetta Inez (Chunn) Berry. She married Aaron Leon Long in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1998.
Mrs. Long had attended Freewill Methodist Church as well as Family Worship Center in Johnston City. Prior to her retirement, Marcella had worked for more than seventeen years at Olin in Herrin.

8 Great Grandchildren- Mathew Kramm, Rachel Cherry, Joel Marrs, Jacob Marrs, Alexander Lampley, Tyson Houghland, Carlie Williams, Cooper Houghland
3 Great Great Grandchildren- Alexander Miller, Loralei Kramm and Layla Kramm
Sister-in-law- Janice Berry of North Carolina
Sister-in-law- Betsy Long of Herrin
Brother-in-law and sister-in-law- Cook and Joann Long of Lake of Egypt
Several Nieces and Nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law- Linda Long, brother- Norman Ray and Howard Ray Berry, and great granddaughter- Ellen Lampley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, social distancing and the wearing of masks will be required.
