Marda S. Osman

Herrin- MARDA S. OSMAN, age 78, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 5:23pm on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Momence Meadows Nursing Home. Marda was born in Herrin on December 12, 1934, the daughter of Dalton and Gladys R. (Baker) Odom.  Before her retirement, she worked as a medical transcriptionist at Marion Hospital.  Mrs. Osman was a member of the Herrin Second Baptist Church. Survivors include her son- Michael Wayne and Theresa Osman of Plymouth, Indiana Daughter- Dena Sue and Robin Barnett of Kankakee, Illinois Grandchildren- Brianne Easter Darien Mathis Aiden Osman Reuban Osman Nicole Barnett Austin Barnett Great Grandchildren- Mabel Mathis Lily Osman Issac Easter Chase Easter Rainey Easter Brother- Gary and Langdon Odom of Herrin, Illinois Several Nieces and Nephews   She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother- Thomas Odom. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.  Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
