Margaret Ann Fergus

Marion- Margaret Ann Granny Fergus, 68, of Marion, passed away at 6:05 PM on Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. Margaret was born on April 16, 1939 in Carterville to Paul Hurley & Louise (McNeil) Rone. She married Donald Fergus in 1974 in Marion. He preceded her in death in June of 1974. She was a telephone operator for General Telephone for twenty-two years prior to her retirement. She attended Community of Faith and was a member of the IBEW for 22 years. Survivors include- Daughter- Joyce Jack of Marion Daughter- Gail White & companion Bruce Haley of Marion Four grandchildren: Nathan White & wife Jennifer of Marion Aaron White & fiance Sara Resetarits of Marion Christopher White of Marion Cory Jack of Marion Great Grandchildren- Carrie, Adrianna & Reily White of Marion One future grandson on the way Sister- Nancy Sampson of Dallas, TX Step-sister- Sharon Jimenez & husband Joe of Joliet, IL Step-sister- Joyce Carrier of Joliet Step-sister- Dolores Van Dyke of Joliet She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson- Craig Jack, one brother- Ronnie Hurley and step-mother- Carrie Hurley. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. David Maragni will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service, Tuesday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
