Margaret I. Mitchell

Marion- MARGARET ISABELLE MITCHELL, age 73, of Marion, passed away at 5:30am on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the home of her caregiver, Lana Emery. Margaret was born in Marion on September 5, 1937, the daughter of Vincent and Isabelle (Sands) Plauskey. She married Richard Mitchell in Harrisburg on February 1, 1954. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1999. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Abundant Life Church. Margaret was a homemaker and a cook at various restaurants and hotels. Survivors include her daughter- Debbie and Robert McKnight of Marion, IL Son- Stephen Mitchell of Marion, IL Daughter- Lisa and Kevin Violett of Marion, IL Daughter- Jennifer Voyles of Marion, IL Sister- Alice Ramsey of Marion, IL Three grandchildren- Jerod Violett of Chicago, IL Megan Mitchell of Marion, IL Jacob Voyles of Marion, IL She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son- Tim Mitchell, and a stillborn sister- Elizabeth. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
