Margaret Yates

Marion Margaret M. Yates, 92, of Marion formerly of Carbondale, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Hawthorne Inn in Marion. Mrs. Yates was born March 17, 1917 in Terre Haute, Indiana the daughter of Samuel M. & Anna Elizabeth (Reedy) Isgrig. She married Wilbert E. Yates on November 24, 1938 in Terre Haute and together they shared over 65 years of marriage until his death on September 30, 2004. She was a member of the Marion Church of Christ. She was a nurse retiring in 1977 from the Anna State Hospital. Survivors include; Daughter Pamela Kay Bittle and husband Richard of Marion Two Grandchildren; Lisa Cavaness and husband Jonathan of Marion R. Jason Bittle and wife Robyn of St. Louis, Missouri Three Great Grandchildren; Nicholas Cavaness of Marion Zachary Cavaness of Marion Benjamin Bittle of St. Louis, Missouri Several Nieces and Nephews Preceded by Parents, Husband and Three Brothers Funeral services will be Monday, January 18, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Cowan officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
