Margie D. Klope

Marion Margie D. (Lucas) Klope, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 3:05 A.M. at Parkway Manor in Marion. Margie was born February 14, 1921 to the late Orval and Lura (Pankey) Lucas in Hayti, Missouri. She married William Klope, Sr. in Jackson, Missouri on April 02, 1940 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1983. Margie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Davis Prairie Crab Orchard Baptist Church. Margie is survived by: Son William Klope, Jr. and wife Janet of Carterville Two Grandsons: Mike Klope of Carterville Mark Klope and wife Holly of Herrin Two Sisters: Barbara and Ed Mitchell of Rural Marion Geraldine and Bob Holmes of Harrisburg Two Brothers: Ted & Trecia Lucas of Harrisburg Jerry Lee & Sandee Lucas of Missouri Preceded by: Parents, Her husband William, Six Sisters and Two Brothers. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. John Howat officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
