Marion Marguerite L. Koehler, 91, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 1:05 A.M. at her home.
Marguerite was born May 5, 1918 in Lebo, Kansas to John W. & Anna C. (Siebuhr) Smith. She married Carl C. Koehler on June 8, 1939 in Yates Center, Kansas and together they have shared 70 years of marriage.
Mrs. Koehler served as Deputy Register of Deeds and Deputy Clerk in District Court before working as secretary to District Court Judge Floyd Coffman. She worked part-time after her retirement for Gary Jordan.
In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, making quilts and other craft-work. She attended Whiteash Free Will Baptist Church.

Several nieces and nephews
Preceded by her Parents, Two Sisters and Three Brothers.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Lee and Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Whiteash Free Will Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
